MY STUDIO PRACTICE

My studio practice is shaped by a close relationship with material, landscape, and the slow processes of making. Working from my rural studio in Estonia, I explore natural fibres, traditional textile techniques, and sustainable approaches to my art practice.

This space offers a glimpse into the wider context of my work - from the fibre animals that provide the wool for my textiles, to the materials and processes that shape each piece, as well as reflections and studio notes from my ongoing practice.

FIBRE FARM

The fibre farm is at the heart of my practice, where many of the materials used in my work begin their journey. Here I raise fibre animals whose wool becomes part of my felting and textile processes. This close connection to the land and materials allows me to work slowly and sustainably, following the natural cycles of fibre, seasons, and making.

MATERIALS & PROCESS

In the Materials & Process section, I share a closer look at the materials and techniques behind my work — from preparing raw fleece and natural dyeing to felting, weaving, and the slow transformation of fibre into textile. This process-led approach allows the character of the material to guide the work, revealing texture, surface, and the traces of time within each piece.

STUDIO NOTES/BLOG

In my blog, I share reflections from my studio — thoughts about materials, processes, and inspiration drawn from nature and rural life. The blog offers a closer look at the making behind my textile artworks, from felting and weaving to natural dye experiments. It is also a place where I document ideas, discoveries, and the quiet rhythms of studio practice.
